THE FIRST STIMULATION STARTS AT HOME

THE FIRST STIMULATION STARTS AT HOME

Your baby is beautiful! You're completely enamored and a little tired at the same time, but that's natural, and as you watch him change, his physical and mental development becomes a point of interest.

In these first months, you have the opportunity to help your child because he spends more time with you, and that's when playing with him, in addition to stimulating his development, becomes a time of attachment and emotional bonding.

At this stage, there's no need to take your baby to a place where they offer early stimulation. If you want, you could do that later. But for now, the ideal and most recommended thing would be to play games, do exercises, and do simple massages that will help them develop, simply lying in their crib or in your bed.

In the first few weeks, your baby spends his time eating and sleeping , and what he needs is peace and quiet, but you can start with lullabies while you put him to sleep or cheerful songs while you bathe him. Make up letters including his name and the words "dad" and "mom" or "I love you," for example.

In the first few months, the sense of touch is also the most developed, so caresses, massages, and placing the baby on mom or dad provide a state of relaxation that helps develop confidence, thus stimulating their sensory capacity.

When you see that your baby is more alert, try, while he is in his crib , to hold in front of him little balls or scarves of bright colors, especially red, so that he can fix his gaze and follow the movement. If possible, accompany this game with a short song about the color or the figure, thus strengthening the senses of sight and hearing.

Dance and sing with your baby in your arms, and if your partner accompanies you, even better! Make sure it's music or songs tailored to their stage, as they generally have the right tone, rhythm, and melody. Otherwise, you could make them restless. They'll probably like the music you like, but you can save it for when they're older.

Stimulate your baby's legs and hands with gentle movements such as tucking and stretching their legs, opening and closing their arms, raising and lowering them, and gently rolling them from side to side will help them roll over. Placing them face down with a bright toy in front of them will also reinforce this movement. Always accompany these exercises with music or songs. Talk or sing to them while describing what you're doing; you'll have a wonderful communication with your baby.

You can also place him on his tummy in his crib or on your bed, massage his back, move his legs; your maternal instinct will allow you to discover, create, invent, and generate new ideas to help him, but above all, hug him, hug him a lot, and tell him how much you love him. That will be the best stimulation you can offer him.
